Wandoor Beach: Shore Walks and Marine Park Visits

Wandoor Beach lies around 25-30 km from Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram) and is known for its shoreline views, photography and sunsets. Wandoor Jetty is a departure point for visits to the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park.

Important visitor safety information

Swimming at Wandoor Beach is prohibited. The Andaman and Nicobar Tourism Department identifies saltwater crocodiles and underwater hazards here. Enjoy the beach from the shore and follow current warning signs and instructions from local authorities. Do not enter the water.

Boat excursions to Jolly Buoy or Red Skin are separate visits and depend on the island open to visitors, permits, boat availability and weather. Confirm current arrangements before travelling; a visit to Wandoor Beach does not automatically include a marine park excursion.

Plan time for a shore walk, photographs and sunset viewing, and keep the beach free of litter.
