Port Blair is also known as Sri Vijaya Puram, Havelock as Swaraj Dweep, and Neil as Shaheed Dweep. You may see either name while researching your holiday.

4 nights and 5 days: a compact introduction

A typical sequence is arrival and overnight in Port Blair, Havelock on day two, Neil on day three, return to Port Blair on day four and departure on day five. You visit three islands, but several days involve hotel checkout and a ferry transfer.

This can work when leave is limited and you are comfortable moving frequently. It offers less room for slow mornings or rescheduling an outdoor activity. Avoid treating a transfer day as a full sightseeing day: time is also needed for packing, reaching the jetty and checking in.

5 nights and 6 days: more time on Havelock

The confirmed family route gives Havelock two nights: day one in Port Blair; day two transfer to Havelock and Radhanagar Beach; day three Elephant Beach; day four Neil sightseeing and overnight; day five return to Port Blair; day six departure.

The second Havelock night reduces consecutive hotel changes and creates a day without an inter-island hotel transfer. Outdoor visits remain subject to conditions and local operation. A longer stay creates flexibility; it does not guarantee that every activity will operate.

6 nights and 7 days: decide how to use the extra night

The standard six-night split adds time in Port Blair compared with the five-night route. Use the day-by-day proposal to decide whether that time should support additional sightseeing or a gentler pace. More nights will not automatically mean less travel if every available day is filled with an excursion.

For the 6N7D package, confirm the proposed extra-day programme before booking. Do not assume that an attraction mentioned in another package is included.

Arrival and departure times matter

A five-day holiday does not necessarily give five complete sightseeing days. Late arrival and early departure can leave much less usable time. Provide flight details before finalising the sequence, and ask for a practical gap between the last island transfer and your flight. An overnight return to Port Blair reduces reliance on a same-day ferry connection, although no arrangement eliminates disruption risk.
